What makes this site so unique?

Because unlike almost every other site out there, this site will enable you to collaborate with a WORKING SCREENWRITER. And not just your normal screenwriter. In my 30 year Hollywood career I have worked my way up from the mail room at Warner Bros to a Production accountant at the Ladd Company, then a Line Producer at the Ladd Company, then a Producer at Fox to a Writer at Tri Star and countless other studios and finally, a Director at Sony and Warners.

My name is Kevin Alyn Elders and I have written for Oliver Stone, Joel Silver, Peter Guber, Ted Field, Jeff Sagansky, Jason Blumenthal and Todd Black, Rhonda Toleffson and Sean Connery, Andy Vanja and Mario Kassar, Al Ruddy, Peter Hoffman, Ron Samuels, Marc Damon, Scott Kroopf, Lou Gossett, Teri Hatcher, Joe Wizan and Hollywood studios such as Paramount, Warner Brothers, Fox, Sony, Columbia, Disney, etc. In short, I have personally worked in almost every capacity on a Hollywood feature film. I know the production side from budgeting, scheduling, location scouting, casting, prepping, producing, editing, dubbing to collaborating on a release strategy. I know the development and the creative side from concept, pitching, negotiating a development deal, negotiating a writing, producing or directing deal, writing the screenplay and finally directing the screenplay. My background is very unique because unlike others out there who advertise their ability to "fix your screenplay" almost 99% of them have never SOLD a single Screenplay. The great majority of them have never even sold a pitch, much less ever made and certainly never directed a movie. In short, these people advertise themselves as fully competent collaborators who can help you rework and sell your script but they can't sell one of their own.

I have spent 30 years of my life dealing with these people. And because I'm tired of getting advice or commentary from development people who read scripts in a coffee shop for a living but don't have the TALENT to actually create the saleable product, I've started my own site. It just makes sense to me that anyone willing to lay down money to get some REAL help from a COLLABORATOR deserves to get that help from someone who actually gets paid to write and has made millions over a 30 year career in the movie business. After all, if you were trying design your own plane would you seek help from someone who has never designed a plane that could actually fly (a script that gets made into a movie) or has never even flown a plane (directed a movie)? Of course you wouldn't. Be sensible, if you've anguished months, sometimes even years over your screenplay and it doesn't work, get the help you need from someone who gets paid by major studios to do that for a living. Don't seek out help from the maintenance mechanic who just dreams of putting on a flight suit some day, but that 'some day' never comes. Get help from the pilot who's designed and flown his own planes.
